Your final paper should focus on Chan or Zen Buddhism. It should be a regular philosophical paper. You can discuss any aspect in Chan/Zen Buddhism. You need to do some your own research besides reading the textbooks. Your discussion needs to start with one (or more) of Chan/Zen stories, or paintings (the painting can be attachment to your paper), or poems. You are encouraged to use the resource other than your textbooks. In your paper, you need to clarify what is the true meaning of Chan/Zen. How it differs from original Buddhism or other Buddhist Schools. How Chan/Zen infected people's daily like.
