Sitting Quietly, Doing Nothing

1. Naturalness:

1.1. The end of illusion is that the mind stopping trying to act upon itself, upon its stream of experiences from the standpoint of the ego.

1.2. The essential quality of naturalness is the sincerity of the undivided mind.

1.3. There is a total contradiction in planned naturalness and intentional sincerity.

1.4.To try not to try to be natural

2. Human being and machine:

2.1. The self-correcting action of mind is similar to a fee-back system.

2.2. The fee-back system in turn needs adjustment.

2.3. Memories are organized in terms of more or less abstract images-words, signs simplified shapes and other symbols. Based on these, the Mind constructs it idea of itself.

3. Let go of himself:

3.1. The mind-body must continue to act on its own.

3.2. The mind cannot act without giving up the impossible attempt to control itself beyond a certain point.

3.3. It must let go of itself both in the sense of trusting its own memory and reflection, and in the sense of acting spontaneously, on its own into the unknow.

5. Wu-wei, siting quietly, doing noting:

6. Zen is a medicine for the mental paralysis and anxiety:

6.1. Zen is against the background of societies regulated by the principles of Confucianism.

6.2. Zen is against the double-bindsituation, where to dois not to doand vice versa.

6.3. Nothing is left to you at this moment but to have a good laugh.

6.4. Neither avoids false thoughts nor seeks the true.

7. Zen and Dao:

7.1. For Daoism, the aimless, empty life suggests the freedom of clouds and mountain streams.

7.2. For Zen, the Zen experience is more of a conclusion that a premise. To say that everything is the Daoalmost gets the point, but just at the moment of getting it, the words crumble into nonsense.

7.3. Zen has no need to raise waves when no wind is blowing.
