The applied research methods track will introduce you to the tools and methods used to conduct and interpret quantitative research about society.  You will learn how to design and conduct applied social research projects, including  demography, survey research, focus groups, spatial analysis and other tools used by commercial firms, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations.
