--The healing statue of Djedhor, seen here with a basin for holy water in front of and below his feet. Also, notice the cippus at his feet. Holy water would be poured over the statue and its magical texts, ending up in the basin at the foot of the feet. Ancient Egyptians would then drink the water, believing it had absorbed the influence of the texts.. (Citation)--

--A metternich stela engraved with magical texts for the protection from bites of venomous creatures. The front includes a respresentation of Horus-the-Child, protector from dangerous creatures. The Egyptian soul is depicted here, by the hieroglyph on the first row from the top, as a circular object between two hands. Dated to the end of the 30th Dynasty, 380 B.C. - 343 B.C.. This stela is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. (Citation)--
