Some Homegrown Harmonies

"Real magic is creating life from common household objects"

Le Architecte Karp

All pieces in this wing are products of the creative mind of Judy Nacca. She is an environmentally concerned person and recycles religiously. Judy began painting furniture roughly five years ago when her writing ability briefly desserted her. The creative drive took over and "Happy Chairs Co." was the result. Judy's goal was to take funiture that might be thrown out or that was no longer used and make it "pretty." Judy does consider her work more craft than art, but by placing the occational poem on piece she was able to make poetry and art more visible to perhaps the unexposed eye. This idea was spawned by the London underground project which placed posters of poems on trains so that passengers could read as they traveled. So Judy then succeeds in not only saving space in our landfills, but also allows more people to be exposed to art that they may have never come accross. Anyone interested in her work may contact her at 413-584-4779.

"I don't think painted funiture will changed the world but it will make the world colorful and perhaps inspire people to be more creative with their own junk"
              Judy Nacca
