Treasures of the Last Tsar:

History

Tsar Nicholas II (1868-1918) ruled the Russian Empire from 1894 until his abdication in 1917. He and his wife, Alexandra had five children: Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia, and Alexis. After his abdication, Tsar Nicholas II and his family were imprisoned in Tsarskoye Solo, Siberia, and finally Yekaterinburg, where they were all shot to death.

During their imprisonment, the family's lives were restricted, but photographs were still taken of the Tsar and his family working, and occasionally during leisure time.
