The Nakota Horse Conservancy: The site desicribes itself: "The Nokota Horse Conservancy is a nonprofit organization established in 1999 to preserve the unique and historical Nokota Horse. These wild horses of the northern plains have inhabited the area encompassing Theodore Roosevelt National Park since at least the 1880's. "

The Dakota/Lakota/Nakota Human Rights Advocacy Coalition (DLN) : This organization is chartered on the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation in south-central South Dakota. Our members are volunteer American Indian activists and activists for American Indian issues involved in advocating for integrated human, civil, legal, and indigenous rights, and social justice for traditional Dakota/Lakota/Nakota People. In addition to advocating in these matters, DLN is dedicated to providing solutions to Indian families who face hardship within reservation and border communities.

Homeland: This is the home page for a video entitled "Homeland" which tell the story of three Lakota families over a four year period. The film is set to be released by PBS in 2000 (perhaps the site needs to be updated!). ITVS (Independent Television Service) also has a web resource on "Homeland" with information on Pine Ridge.
