Play in Honor of Blessed Miguel Pro
St. Lawrence Church, Rochester NY
November 9, 2001
St. Lawrence Church, Rochester, New York celebrated the life of Blessed Miguel Pro, S.J. in a very special way. They had a special mass celebrating the feast of Fr. Pro at 6:00 P.M. After the mass they went to the parish center that was decorated in Mexican decor. Everyone brought a Mexican dish to that area before the Mass started and the kitchen crew kept them warm through the Mass.

After the Mass when everyone assembled in the parish center, Fr. Volino said the words of blessing and everyone had a Mexican feast. After the food, We watched the children perform the play on the life of Blessed Miguel as you can see from these images.

After the play the celebration continued with Mexican sundaes for dessert and the young children broke the two pinatas we had hanging up. Mexican mariachi music was playing most of the evening. Pictures of Bl. Miguel were made and given out and chaplets were available as well.

If was one of the best feasts ever had at the parish.
