MADONNA DELLA STRADA
The image of "Our Lady of the Way" was greatly loved by St. Ignatius Loyola, his early companions, and Jesuits today. The original (anonymous Roman School late 15th or early 16th Century) is enshrined in the round chapel of the Jesu, the Mother Church of the Jesuits in Rome. The feast of the Mother of God of the Society of Jesus is April 22.
This icon was commissioned by Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York and was painted by Fr. William Hart McNichols You are welcome to pray with this icon which is honored in the Chapel of Our Lady of the Way located on the Le Moyne campus.
