Marriage

Marriage only means
God to me...
the shaking hand
of the Bride as he
touches her finger
with the ring;
he trembles too
for in that band
stirs a crucible
which signifies the
eternal wedding of the soul.
High above in the
autumn shy, stained
viridian-to-lamp black,
a shower of falling stars,
like fiery cries,
plunge from heaven.
Each abandons
her virgin home
in the night,
dropping to earth
answering

yes
yes
yes.
