The Turquoise Sutra


The Turquoise Sutra
nearly buried me.
Its gem quality
is ostensibly
less than sapphire
emerald or rubies before.
Its opaque resonance
speaks of earth and
sky as well
with only the
chrysocolla
on a higher
spiritual plane.
But the sound promise
of this sutra
is nothing less than
marriage
and is visited
only by way
of death.
