The Fourth Time I Saw the Bride

Now I know that
its true because I
caught myself blushing,
burning, slightly nauseous
on the subway stairs
at 72nd. street.
Certain I was pregnant,
I grasped at the hand rail,
then looking up
I saw the Bride.
This time she bore
the Wounds.
Her face was the shimmering
silent sea of glass.
She shone and reflected
for me that on earth
as in heaven,
we are one.
