The Memorare

Remember, 0 most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known
that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help or sought thy intercession
was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence,
I fly unto thee,
0 Virgin of Virgins my Mother;

to thee I come,
before thee I stand sinful and sorrowful;
0 Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions but in thy clemency,
bear and answer me.

The icon of "Our Lady of Vladimir" has been called the "Soul of Russia". This version commissioned by a family from Long Island, New York has been given the title of "Our Lady of Grace."
