The Crucified Lord
This is the front side of a Processional Cross, after the early Renaissance Master, Giotto. The barren trees flanking the torso of Christ are an addition to show nature's emphatic grief
The Crucified Lord and the other side, Christ Emmanuel Flowering Cross, were commissioned by St. Joseph's College in Philadelphia.
