Christ The All Merciful
![]()
This rendtition of an early sixteenth century Christ Pantocrator (He who rules over everything) called Christ the Savior, is form the Church of Jovan Kaneo in Obrid, Yugoslavia, and was commissioned as the companion to Mother of God of Vatopedi, by a Russian Orthodox priest in Albuquerque.
As the face of the icon began to emerge, His gospel book seemed to call for the healing words of Matthew 11: 28 - 30, and so alo the title, Christ All Merciful.
