Ms. Rachel Bash ('02)

Rachel graduated with a CNE major, taking the Arete Prize for Classical Studies and the CAMWS award. She forwards this on her recent activities:

Since graduation in 2002, Rachel Bash has taught Shakespeare to 8th graders on a reservation, successfully out-run wild horses (although that terrific speed wouldn't qualify me for the Olympics on any other day; the threat of death seems to make athletic feats more possible), and in general spent two years immersed in the richly rewarding (though not financially) world of post-graduate volunteering. She now resides in verdant Eugene, Oregon, where she (finally, some would say) plans to pursue a Master's degree in Literature and attend to her problem with overusing parentheses (the first step is admitting you have a problem). She still fondly recalls the days of punning, sarcastic academic greatness spent on the 2nd floor of the Humanities building and plans to make classics a central part of her graduate study. Valete.
