Instructions for Journal Writing

 

You are required to create a weekly journal for this course that both briefly summarizes the readings for the week and details what you have leanred in your service learning role. You may also ask questions of the professor. I review the journals each week.  The journal is due by Sunday 11:59 PM of the week they are due (ie readings reqired for Wednesday must be sumamriezed within four days (the folllowing Sunday)..  I will indicate this time on your course schedule. 

 

Please create your journals in Microsoft Word and upload them to the workspace using the course page (so your files go in the right folder – it beats navigating the system!).

 

The entire reflection should be at least two full pages. You need not use more than 3/4 of a page for the reading summary. The rest should be devoted to your placement observations.
