Course Description:
In this course the relationship between Africans and Native Americans will be explored. “Africans and Native Americans worked as slaves and as free men together. Both groups played important role in the shaping of the history of this country and the relationships that had are often overlooked and unknown.
Learning Objectives:
1) Learn and understand the complex relationships between Africans and Native Americans.
2) Examine pre and post-Civil War African and Native relationship.

Accountability:
I will meet with Fr. Bucko weekly to discuss my progress in the course, either in person, by phone or e-mail and submitting the reading notes that I have completed. I understand that I am responsible for the outcome of this course, as far as my grade and what I learn.
Academic Honesty:
Academic honesty includes adherence to guidelines established by the instructor in a given course and by the University and prohibits, among other things, representing the work of others to be one's own, tampering with the experiments of others, defacing or tampering with library or student materials, or facilitating dishonesty by others.
Penalties may be imposed by the instructor or by the Dean. Instructors may impose the grade of "F" on the work in question or for the course.
