Here are a variety of ways in which you can contact me. The most efficient way is almost always by e-mail. I generally check my e-mail at least once a day. Phone is a second runner-up except that I travel quite a bit so I'm not always able to check voice mail. Third runner-up is physical mail.

Study Abroad:
If you are a Creighton College of Arts and Sciences student and are looking for study abroad approval for courses in sociology and/or anthropology please follow this link for instructions on how to proceed.
Letters of Recommendation:
If you are a former or current student in need of a recommendation please read this instruction page. I also need a release of information form to be filled out and sent along with your information packet. You can get one right here in pdf format or in Microsoft Word format.
Reading Courses:
If you are interested in taking a reading course with me you must first visit my office and e-mail me to explain your plan of study. You then need to create a course proposal/syllabus and submit it to me. You can use former students' syllabi to help guide you in this process.
Incompletes:
If you need to take an incomplete in a course you first need to discuss the situation with me either in person or by e-mail. If I approve an incomplete for you in a course you must fill out this form, save a copy for your self, submit one to the dean's office and one copy to me. Please be sure to read the College Policy on Incompletes.
2012 Morris K Udall Scholarships:
If you are a Creighton student, are Native American interested in tribal public policy or Native health care, or if you are a student of any ethnicity interested in environmental issues, if you have a very active service record and if your grade point average is at least a 3.0, I encourage you to apply for the Morris K Udall Undergraduate Scholarships. There are two categories for scholarships:
The Udall Scholarship : This $5,000 scholarship is awarded to 80 undergraduate sophomores and juniors pursuing careers related to Tribal Public Policy, Native Health Care, or the Environment (you must be a Native American/Alaska Native to be eligible in the first two categories). Udall Scholars also get to attend the Udall Scholar Orientation and are immediately plugged into a growing and active alumni network.
Native American Congressional Internship : This ten-week summer internship in Washington, D.C. is for Native American and Alaska Native students who wish to learn more about the federal government and issues affecting Indian Country. The internship is fully funded: the Foundation provides round-trip airfare, housing, per diem for food and incidentals, and a stipend at the close of the program.
Please contact Fr. Bucko, S.J., (bucko@creighton.edu), the faculty representative for Creighton University, early fall of the academic year. He will both nominate you and assist you with the scholarship process. The Office of Multicultural Affairs can also assist you with your application; Philip Tinker, an Osage tribal member and lawyer, is a former Udall DC Intern currently Clerk for the Honorable William J. Riley, Chief Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and living in Omaha. He has generously offered to advise applicants and can be contacted at phtinker@gmail.com.The Creighton University deadline for a completed application submitted to Fr. Bucko, S.J. is Noon, January 20, 2012
